Millions Struggling Without Food Stamps

"House GOP Votes To Drop Millions From Food Stamps," posted on September 20, 2013 by ThinkingProgress. In addition to adding work requirements modeled on the reforms that helped cripple the efficacy of welfare, the Republican bill ends something called categorical eligibility; where people enrolled in other low-income safety net benefits can skip much of the bureaucracy and paperwork involved in applying for food stamps. While categorical eligibility reduces administrative costs in the program, Republicans argue that it makes federal anti-hunger spending too generous. The program provides $133 per month on average and is already scheduled for a significant cut in November as a stimulus provision expires. The House decides to pass a bill to drop at least 4 million people out of the program. By doing that, its gonna make families who was in the program  struggling to provide will make it 10x harder for them since they won't be able to receive. The problem is that the government is taking away money for something us families who is struggling, and spending money on war or etc..
I myself have been in this situation being in the (Snap) program. When receiving the benefit every month, it wouldn't be that much, but it helps. I wouldn't be able to live with myself making a decision to take something away from the poor who needs it and probably wont have food on the table for their families.
